Helpful Hints For Problems
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Pulsation or 1. Low fuel level or unit not level 1. Level unit. Keep tank filled.
uneven firing 2. Air leak 2. Check air & fuel lines for air leaks.Filter not tight. No filter
gasket.
3. Water in fuel 3. Drain, flush & refill with clean,water-free fuel
4. Low air pressure 4. Adjust air pressure. Clean or replace air filters.
5. Nozzle leaking air into oil passages 5. Replace nozzle seal/O-Ring
Motor does not start 1. No power to unit 1. Check outlet & fuse. Check power cord for good contact.
2. Defective motor 2. Replace motor
3. Circuit breaker tripped 3. Depress reset button
4. Loose circuit breaker connections 4. Check terminals on circuit breaker for good contact
5. Defective circuit breaker 5. Replace circuit breaker
Motor runs slowly 1. Low voltage 1. Check voltage. Check length & size of extension cord
2. Tight compressor 2. With unit unplugged turn fan by hand. If fan does not turn
freely, adjust compressor ring.
3. Motor defective 3. With unit unplugged fan turns freely. Replace motor
Cannot adjust 1. Air leak 1. Check air line, replace with O.E.M. airline if necessary. No O
air pressure ring between filter body & compressor plate. Filter gasket not in
place.
2. Air line fitting or filter body loose 2. Tighten
3. Compressor ring out of adjustment 3. Adjust gap between rotor and compressor ring. Gap too wide.
4. Plugged nozzle 4. Clean
5. Defective nozzle seal 5. Replace
6. Dirty output filter 6. Clean filter or replace
7. Dirty seat for ball in relief valve or 7. Clean relief valve and seat. Replace valve ball.

Runs indoors, not
outdoors in 1. Water in fuel 1. Drain, flush & refill with clean water-free fuel

It may also be necessary to add a de-icer.
