MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
STORING MOWER
REPLACEMENT PARTS AND
Whenstoringthemowerforshortorlongperiods ACCESSORIES
of time, follow these guidelines:
Always store the mower with a full
battery charge. Follow the recharging
instructions in Rechargeable BatTery.
Always store mower where the tem-
perature is between 32°F (0°C) and
+104°F (+40°C). For long-term storage
of battery, a lower temperature is better
since the battery self-discharges slower
at lower temperatures.
Store mower in a dry place. Water will
damage mower and battery.
Do not store mower near chemicals,
such as fertilizers. These products are
often highly corrosive and may cause
permanent damage to the mower.
Do not store mower near organic or
other solvents.
Always keep the safety key in a safe
place and away fiom children.
The battery will safely store in the
mower for long-term storage.
A WARNING
Use of non-Remington parts or ac-
cessories may cause persona[ injury
or damage to the unit.
Storing Battery Out of Mower
* Store battery with a full battery charge.

. Do not store battery near a source of
heal sparks, or open flames.
. Always store battery where the tem-
perature is between 32°F (-0°C) and
+104°F (+40°C). For long-term storage
of battery, a lower temperature is better
since the battery self-discharges slower
at lower temperatures.
. Do not expose battery to abnormal
shakes or shocks.
. Store away from children and ani-
mals.
. Do not bend the terminals.
. Do not apply heat (such as a soldering
iron) to the terminals.
. Store battery in a dry place. Water will
damage battery.
. Keep battery clean and dry. Do not use
a battery that shows cracks, changes in
shape, leaks, or otherwise is obviously
damaged.
. Periodically recharge a battery that is
being stored for long periods of time.
Repair Service
Note: Only use original replacement parts. This
will protect your warranty coverage for parts
replaced under warranty.
Each Authorized Service Center is indepen-
dently owned and operated.
Warranty Service
It product requires warranty service, return it to
nemest Authorized Service Center. You must
show proof of purchase. If faulty materials or
workmanship caused damage, we will repair or
replace product without charge.
Note: Normal wear, misuse, abuse, neglect, or
accidental damage is not covered under war-
ranty.
Non-Warranty Service
It product requires service, return it to nearest
Authorized Service Center. Repairs will be billed
to you at regular repair list prices.

BATTERY DISPOSAL AND
RECYCLING
Do not dispose of battery ina fire.
The battery cell may explode.
This product uses a sealed lead-acid battery.
Local, state, or federal laws may prohibit
disposal of nickel-cadnium batteries in the
ordinary trash.
To help protect the environment and conserve
natural resources, please dispose of batteries
properly. You may contact your local recycling
center for information on where to drop off the
batteries.
