3 Keep the hot straightening plates away from the skin.
4 Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
5 Only set the appliance down on a heat-proof surface.
6 Do not use attachments other than those we supply.
7 Do not twist or kink the cable, or wrap it round the appliance.
8 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.
9 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or
someone similarly qualied, in order to avoid hazard.
10 This appliance is not intended for commercial or salon use.
11 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.
F INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1 Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.
2 Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers rst.
3 Plug in the styler and press and hold the on button to switch on. When the styler is
plugged in but not turned the lock symbol will be illuminated indicating styler is in
stand by mode. The Heat Protection function
will automatically be on when the
styleristurnedon–indicatedbythepulsingindicatoricon.
To turn this function o press and hold the Heat Protection Sensor on-o button.
4 Start styling on lower temperatures rst. Select appropriate temperature for your hair
type using the controls on the side of the straightener.
Recommended Temperatures:
Temperature Hair Type
160°C-180°C Fine
180°C-200°C Medium
200°C-230°C Thick
5 Thetemperaturedisplaywillstopashingoncethedesiredtemperatureisreached
–thiswillbeabout15seconds.
6 Working on one section at a time run the straightener through the entire length of the
hair, without stopping.
If the Heat Protection Sensor is on during styling it will monitor moisture in the hair and
continually optimise the temperature to prevent damage without compromising on
results. These changes are not displayed by the straightener and happen quickly and
automatically during styling.
7 When nished press and hold the o button for two seconds to turn o and unplug the
appliance.
Switch lock function
Setthedesiredtemperaturebypressing+/-buttonsandlocktheswitchsettingsbypressing
the‘-‘buttonfor2seconds.A‘padlock’symbolwillappearnexttothetemperature.
Tounlocktheswitchsettings,pressandholdthe‘-‘buttonagainfor2seconds.
Hinge lock for storage
Plates can be shut together for easy storage
Locked- Push the hinge lock up to the locked position
Unlocked- Pull the hinge lock down to the unlocked position
NOTE:Donotheattheunitinthelockedposition
C CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance and let it cool.
Wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth.
Don’tuseharshorabrasivecleaningagentsorsolvents.
D WIRING INSTRUCTIONS UK PLUGS ONLY
Theproductdoesn’tneedanearth.
It has a 13A BS1362 fuse in a 13A BS1363 plug.
To replace the plug, t the blue wire to N, and
thebrownwiretoL.Fitthecordgrip.
If in doubt, call an electrician.
Don’tuseanon-rewireable/mouldedplug
unless the fuse cover is in place.
If you remove the plug, dispose of it.
