External Control Parts (cont’d)
Extractors: Model SPR 220H shotguns
are equipped with extractors from the
factory for extraction of the fired rounds
upon opening of the action. (See
Picture 11).
The Fore End: The forend is the wooden grip piece
that attaches to the barrel assembly and locks the barrel
assembly into the receiver. (See
Picture 12).
The fore end has a mechanical latch which is used to
lock and unlock the fore end to the barrel assembly.
Never attempt to fire your shotgun without having
the fore end locked in its proper position on the
barrel assembly.
External Hammers: The external hammers are
located on both sides of the receiver. (See
Picture 13).
The hammers must be manually cocked to fire the shotgun.
External Firing Pins: The external firing pins are
located on both sides of the upper receiver in front of
the hammers

).
The Serial Number: The shotgun’s serial number is
located under the top lever
.
