MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF
TRIMMER
1. Maintain trimmer with care.
•Keepcuttingedgesharpandcleanfor
best performance and to reduce the risk
of injury.
•Followinstructionforlubricating
•Iftrimmeris notworking properly,has
been dropped, damaged, left outdoors,
or dropped into water, do not use trim-
mer. Contact DESA Power Tools.
•Keephandlesdry,clean,andfreefrom
oil and grease.
2. Check damaged parts.
•Ifapartisdamaged,carefullycheckthe
damaged part before using the trimmer.
Make sure the part will operate properly
and perform its intended function.
•Check for alignment of moving parts,
binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts, mounting, and any other condition
that may affect its operation.
•Aguardorotherpartthatisdamaged
should be properly repaired or replaced
unless indicated elsewhere in this
manual.
•Use only genuine Remington replace-
ment parts and accessories. These are
availablefromyourlocaldealer.Useof
any non-Remington parts or accessories
could lead to injury to the user, damage
to the unit, and void your warranty.
3. Store idle trimmer indoors. When not
in use, store trimmer indoors in a dry
location. Store trimmer above the reach
of children or in a locked area out of the
reach of children.
